Bihar CM Nitish Kumar launches Rabi Mahabhiyan-2022 by flagging off propaganda chariots

PATNA: Bihar CM Nitish Kumar on Wednesday launched Rabi Mahabhiyan-2022 by flagging off altogether 38 propaganda chariots, one chariot for each district, at an agriculture department’s event held in the state capital here.
The propaganda chariots will inform and educate the farmers about different aspects of Rabi crops as well as the state government’s schemes for the Rabi season.
Besides these propaganda chariots, the CM also flagged off an exclusive ‘street-play chariot’ which will go to different parts of the state and the artists will make the farmers aware about the rabi crops by performing street plays. The artists moving through the street play chariot would perform in at least three panchayats per day.
“The propaganda chariots will move into different panchayats and villages in its allotted district and provide information to the farmers about the government schemes for rabi crops and many other issues related to the rabi crops. It will also inform the farmers about the crop residue management and the harms caused to the environment due to burning of crop residues in the farmland,” an agriculture department official said.
The agriculture department would also organize ‘Kisan Chaupal’ in each panchayat of the state from November 15 to December 5 to make the farmers aware about different aspects of Rabi crops. More than 12.5 lakh farmers are expected to participate in the Kisan Chaupals across the state, the official said.
The CM also released a compact disc and a booklet about the Rabi Mahabhiyan-2022 on this occasion.
Prominent among those who were present on the occasion, were state agriculture minister Kumar Sarvajeet, the principal secretary to the CM Deepak Kumar, chief secretary Amir Subhani, agriculture secretary N Sarvana Kumar, the OSD to CM Gopal Singh and agriculture director Aditya Prakash.
