FMCG major Nestle on Wednesday declared an interim dividend of Rs 120 per share for the year 2022.
"The Board of Directors have declared second interim dividend for 2022 of Rs 120 per equity share (Face value Rs 10 per equity share) amounting to Rs 1,157 crore, which will be paid on and from 16 November 2022," said in an exchanging filing to announce its September quarter results.
This is in addition to the first interim dividend of Rs 25 per equity share paid on 6 May 2022.
The record date for determining the eligible shareholders is November 1 and the ex-date is October 31. This means that if you are considering buying the stock of Nestle for its dividend then you need to buy the same before its ex-date. On the ex-date, the stock adjusts in price in respect of the corporate announcement made.
For the year ended December 2021, the firm had announced a total dividend of 2,000% or Rs 200 per share. This at the current share price results in a dividend yield of about 1%.
