Getty ImagesNEW DELHI: Several stocks gained in excess of 15% in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmarks, BSE Sensex and NSE Nifty, traded in the green amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
K&R Rail Engineering(up 19.95%), Speciality(up 19.93%), LKP Finance(up 19.29%), Indiabulls Intgrtd(up 18.91%), Ltd.(up 18.15%) and Containe Technologies Ltd.(up 17.06%) were among the stocks that surged over 15%.
The 30-share index, BSE was trading 350.66 points up at 59311.26, while the 50-share index, NSE was 97.5 points up at 17584.45.
In the Nifty50 index, 34 stocks traded in the green, while 16 stocks were in the red.
Stocks such as K&R Rail Engineering, Rajeshwari Cans Ltd., Containe Technologies Ltd., and hit their fresh 52-week high, while , , , and S M Gold touched their new 52-week low during the session.
