Jewellery shop employee flees with Rs 35L gold, arrested

Varanasi: In a major breakthrough, the police succeeded in nabbing an absconding employee of a jeweller and recovered gold worth Rs. 35 lakhs from him, on Monday. The employee Anil Kumar, a resident of Delhi, had fled with gold. The joint team of crime branch and Chowk police arrested him at Loni Border, Ghaziabad.
According to reports, the jeweller had lodged an FIR at the Chowk police station.
The absconding accused was hiding by changing places in Agra, Dehradun and Delhi. “The police recovered 752 grams of gold, which is the 100% recovery,” said the CP, A Satish Ganesh. TNN
