Two KNF-N cadres held in Manipur

GUWAHATI: The Noney Battalion of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarter Inspector General Assam Rifles (East), apprehended two cadres of Kuki National Front (Nehlun) (KNF-N) involved in extortion activities near Milestone 35 in Kangpokpi district of Manipur.
The cadres were on their way to deliver extortion threat to the head of a construction company, the Assam Rifles said.
One pistol with magazine and ammunition were also recovered from the cadres. The rebels and seized items were handed to PS New Keithalmanbi, Kangpokpi district.
