Din over 3 new names in PCC delegates list

HYDERABAD: Polling for the AICC president's post here on Monday was marred by an alleged controversy over change of names of at least three voters from the list of the PCC delegates, reports Roushan Ali.
Protesting against the names of candidates suggested by them having been removed without consulting them, two Congress veterans, Ponnala Lakshmaiah and Damodar Raja Narasimha, squatted on the stairs of Gandhi Bhavan here. The duo said the entire process was turned into a tamasha and demanded an explanation over the failure of party leadership to ensure a proper voter list.
Though it was a secret ballot, the talk in party circles is that almost all 231 PCC delegates who cast their vote, voted in favour of Kharge.
