Nissan Qashqai, Juke, X-Trail Hybrid SUVs unveiled: Specs, launch details
Nissan India today took the wraps off three new SUVs of which two are mild hybrids that include the Nissan Qashqai and Nissan Juke. Plus, the Nissan X-Trail was revealed today as well. For now, there is no word on when or if the Hybrid SUVs will go on sale but the company has stated that it is beginning the testing for the X-Trail in the country and it will soon go on sale here. The Qashqai will also be evaluated for the India market. Until then, here are the specs and details about the three.
Nissan Qashqai
In its third generation, the Qashqai gets Nissan's new V-Motion grille and boomerang LED matrix headlamps. The new-gen SUV is longer, wider, taller, and has a longer wheelbase as well.
Engine options for the Qashqai include a 1.3-litre turbo petrol with a 12V mild hybrid system. The engine puts out 140 bhp and 156 Nm of torque and is paired with an Xtronic CVT transmission. The SUV is sold with a 4WD system optionally in the international markets. The SUV is also available with an ePower powertrain that includes a 156 bhp 1.5-litre petrol engine and a 140 kW electric motor.

Another one of Nissan's global products, the Juke gets a 1.0-litre three cylinder engine that makes 115 bhp and 200 Nm (with overboost), paired with a six-speed manual or a seven-speed dual-clutch DCT with paddle shifters.
Nissan Juke uses the brand’s CMF-B platform that’s lighter than its predecessor and also makes for more space. The Juke gets an eight-inch touchscreen infotainment system with the smartphone connectivity, TomTom lamps and Live Traffic for navigation. The infotainment system works with Nissan’s connect that also provides in-car WiFi. The SUV has a Bose audio system with speakers integrated in the front headrest and optional dual-tone Alcantara upholstery.

Nissan X-Trail

Based on the updated version of Renault-Nissan Mitsubishi Alliance’s CMF-C crossover platform, the X-Trail is gets two engine options - a 1.5-litre turbo petrol and a 1.5-litre turbo petrol with Nissan's e-Power series hybrid tech which is a strong hybrid system (in which the combustion engine charges the electric motor on the go).
While the hybrid variant gets a four-wheel-drive system, the petrol engine-only version comes with FWD (front wheel drive) only. The hybrid powertrain has a 150 kW front electric motor and a combined output of 201 hp or the e-4ORCE dual motor system producing 209 hp. The X-Trail’s prices in the UK start at around GBP 32,030 or Rs 29.74 lakh.
