Vadodara: People present at the public meeting organized in Shehra during the Gujarat Gaurav Yatra of the
BJP took a pledge that they believed in all gods and goddesses. The pledge is being seen as a response to recent controversies involving Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders who allegedly hurt religious sentiments.
The yatra had arrived at Shehra and was welcomed by a large gathering welcomed. Co-spokesperson of the state BJP Bharat Dangar administered the pledge to the gathering.
Recently, AAP leader from Delhi, Rajendra Gautam was involved in a controversy when he converted to Buddhism and allegedly hurt religious feelings in his speech at the event.
He had to resign as a minister subsequently.
