86-year-old man dies under mysterious circumstances

Nagpur: Ram Avatar Vishwakarma, 86, died under mysterious circumstances with spine and head injuries at his residence in Rahul Nagar near Somalwada on October 15.
Sonegaon police, alerted about Vishwakarma’s family rushing to perform his last rites at the Sahakar Nagar crematorium, had to intervene to investigate foul play.
The post-mortem report confirmed injury marks on the cervical chord and behind the head.
The cops, after registering a case of accidental death initially, are quizzing his 16-year-old son Chandramani and his wife to ascertain whether they manhandled the senior citizen.
