DU Merit List 2022 LIVE Updates: Delhi University 1st cutoff for UG admissions today, check admission fees and more

To facilitate faster allocation-cum-admission process, the university has decided to offer 20% extra allocations for each program in each college under UR/OBC-NCL/EWS categories and 30% extra allocations under SC/ST/PwBD categories.

Candidates desirous of taking admission under the supernumerary quota for ECA/Sports must appear in CUET 2022. For admissions to ECA and Sports supernumerary seats, a weightage of 25% will be given to CUET score and 75% to certificates/trials/performances.

The Common Seat Allotment System (CSAS) was constituted by University of Delhi for admissions into undergraduate programmes 2022.

As per the previous schedule, first merit list for DU UG admissions were supposed to release on October 19, 2022. However, the university released a press note informing the postponement of cutoff list.

If a candidate failed to apply for CSAS-2022 within the stipulated time and is desirous of participating later, can do so through the Mid-Entry window (whenever University announces it), by paying a Mid-Entry fee of Rs 1000 (non-refundable).

Delhi University is expected to release the first cutoff for UG admissions today at 5:00 PM.

After the acceptance of seat and verification of documents by the respective college, students will have to pay the fees to confirm their admission.

Once the merit list is released, candidates will be given two days time to accept the seat in a college. After which, the respective college will verify the documents submitted by the candidate.

The college-programme count showed that B.Com is the most popular course, with Ramjas College receiving 57,642 applications, closely followed by Kirori Mal College with 57,615 applications.

St Stephen's has filed a plea with the Supreme Court challenging the order issued by the Delhi High Court regarding the DU Admissions guidelines for the new academic session. Supreme Court is set to hear the petition today i.e., October 19, 2022.

DU shared the academic calendar for first year undergraduate students on October 12, 2022. As per the notification released by Delhi University, the classes for Semester I will begin on November 02, 2022. The theory examination will be conducted from February 27, 2022 to March 15, 2022. Whereas, Semester II classes will begin on March 23, 2023 and the theory examination will be conducted from July 17 to July 28, 2022.

The University will release a total of three cut off lists this year.

• 2nd cutoff - October 25, 2022
• 3rd cutoff - November 04, 2022

Delhi University released the stimulated list on Friday i.e., October 14, 2022. The deadline to make any changes to the preferences was scheduled by October 16, 2022, till 5:00 PM.
