AgenciesSchitt’s Creek actor and co-creator Dan Levy is set to make his film directing debut with Netflix’s "Good Grief," a bittersweet comedy film. Four-time Emmy Award winner Dan Levy will be seen alongside Passing’s Ruth Negga, Beauty and the Beast’s Luke Evans, Station Eleven’s Himesh Patel, David Bradley, Celia Imrie, Arnaud Valois, and Jamael Westman.
Apart from working on his role behind the camera, Dan also wrote the script for "Good Grief".
Dan Levy released a statement, saying that "Good Grief" is an admonitory story about friendship and loss and all the mess that comes when the truth reveals something one has avoided for most of their life.
According to him, the film is funny and also bittersweet, which helped him work through his grief. He wished the same for people as well.
The story of "Good Grief" is about Marc Dreyfus, who chose to divert his mind from losing his mother through a contented marriage. Unfortunately, he lost his husband unexpectedly and was forced to confront the grief of his life, something he had tried to avoid for a long time. Then, Marc, with his two closest friends, would go on a Parisian trip for self-discovery.
