Share market update: Most active stocks on D-Street today in terms of volume

NEW DELHI: Suzlon Energy(number of shares traded: 11.14 crore), Motherson Sumi(number of shares traded: 5.45 crore), Vodafone Idea(number of shares traded: 2.10 crore), Electronics Mart India Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.99 crore), PNB(number of shares traded: 1.71 crore), Zee Ent.(number of shares traded: 1.69 crore), Ltd.(number of shares traded: 1.68 crore), Excel Realty N Infr(number of shares traded: 1.46 crore), IDFC First Bank(number of shares traded: 1.26 crore) and JP Associates(number of shares traded: 1.26 crore) were among the most traded securities on the National Stock Exchange at 10:19AM in Tuesday's session.

The NSE Nifty index was trading 194.35 points up at 17506.15, while BSE Sensex was up 668.99 points at 59079.97 at the time of writing this report.

In the Nifty index, Mahindra & .(up 2.50 per cent), & Special Economic Zone Ltd.(up 2.47 per cent), .(up 2.36 per cent), State Bank of India(up 2.27 per cent) and .(up 2.27 per cent) were among the top gainers.

While Divi's Laboratories Ltd.(down 0.32 per cent), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd.(down 0.25 per cent), .(down 0.21 per cent), .(down 0.06 per cent) and .(down 0.05 per cent) were among the top losers in the index.
