Uttarakhand: 6 pilgrims, pilot killed in chopper crash near Kedarnath

In a tragic incident, a helicopter carrying Char Dham Yatra pilgrims from Phata crashed near Kedarnath in Rudraprayag district of Uttarakhand on Oct 18. Seven people including the pilot dies in the crash. The incident took place above above Garudchatti after the chopper that belonged to Aryan aviation company took off from Kedarnath for Phata. State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) and district administration teams reached the spot. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Droupadi Murmu and Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami expressed condolences over the crash.
