PUNE: The rural police nabbed a four-member gang, including three minors, who assaulted and attempted to rob two car passengers near the Baramati railway station early on Monday morning.
A police officer said the 24-year-old complainant, his mother and brother had gone to Pune for work on Sunday. “While returning home, four men suddenly came in front of their car and forced them to stop near Baramati railway station around 12.30am,” the officer said.
One of them, who was brandishing a chopper, attacked the complainant and tried to rob them. “While others were threatening his brother and mother, the complainant contacted his uncle for help,” the officer said. The uncle, who lives nearby, rushed to the spot, but was also attacked. They then contacted the police. The night duty patrolling team nabbed the four after a chase.
