Freedom biker rally heads for Mizoram from Silchar

Silchar: Participants of the Freedom Rider Biker Rally, which has been traversing the length and breadth of the country to mark Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav, were felicitated by the Cachar district administration on their arrival in Silchar.
After their grand reception at Gandhi Bhavan here on Saturday, MLA Dipayan Chakraborty and district development commissioner (Cachar) Rajeev Roy flagged off the bike rally for Mizoram.
“The country is safe and secure in the hands of PM Narendra Modi. The aim of this bike rally is to strengthen the unity and brotherhood of the country,” Chakraborty said to the bikers. Roy referred to the rally as a means to spread the message of national unity.
Sports Authority of India representative Mrinal Basumatari and district sports officer (Cachar) Satya Nath Das greeted the bikers with traditional Assamese gamosa.
