Climate activists promised to carry out protests every day in London in October. Members of the group "Just Stop Oil" blocked Park Lane today and painted an Aston Martin showroom orange with spray paint. Chloe Thomas, a 19-year-old pregnant campaigner, said they were on the road demanding no new oil.

Chloe Thomas asked how she would explain to her child in the upcoming years when she asked where the beauty, the animals, and the culture were. She said it was bad and as parents, children, humans, and citizens, it is their responsibility to protect those they love and themselves. A pensioner said it was not easy to carry out these actions for them and wanted people to understand. He said it is frightening, financially draining, and uncomfortable.

He said they know about the threats it poses and cannot unsee it as they know the devastating truth about it. He said the real question was why others were not joining in and not why he was.

A protest far far away

Thousands of people protested in central London on Sunday over Indian agricultural reforms that have triggered mass demonstrations in India. A crowd of demonstrators converged on the Indian embassy, located on Aldwych, a major artery in the centre of the British capital, and groups marched around the Trafalgar Square area, a Reuters photographer at the scene said.

Home Secretary Suella Braverman called the group 'thugs'. Today marks the 16th day of the protest by the group, and their protest included milk pouring on the floor of a supermarket. The group released a statement saying they would not be intimidated.
