ABVP alleges BA paper was leaked, varsity says no proof
Surat: Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) leaders on Saturday alleged that a paper of BA exam was possibly leaked at MTB Arts College. VNSGU officials, however, said that no paper had leaked and an inquiry had been ordered by a committee to verify the allegations.
In a memorandum to VNSGU, ABVP leaders alleged that MTB Arts college officials had opened the sealed packet of the BA exam on the previous evening of the exam. They also alleged that the college did not provide CCTV surveillance link to VNSGU.
“The college normally receives the packet of question papers a day before the exam. It has come to our knowledge that the seal of the packet was opened on Friday,” said an ABVP leader.
“When we enquired at VNSGU, we came to know that MTB College had not provided the live link of CCTV coverage to the university,” the student added.
The university officials said that they did not receive any evidence regarding the allegations. “It is a fear expressed by ABVP and the university has been provided a live link for CCTV,” said a senior VNSGU official.
“A three-member committee has been asked to look into the allegations and verify if anything wrong was done. The case has been referred to the committee that inquiries into misconduct in examinations,” the official added.
