SURAT: Senior Congress leader Sandeep Dixit launched a scathing attack on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), alleging that the party was taking credit for the work done by the previous governments and urged voters of Gujarat not to fall into the trap of Arvind Kejriwal.
Dixit, son of former Delhi chief minister Sheila Dixit, said alleged that the dropout ratio of students between Class 9 to Class 10 in Delhi is 14% “When Congress was in power, we had already constructed 90 schools and the number now is 96. So, they made six new schools,” he claimed.
Dixit claimed posts for 21,000 are vacant. “In 70% of government schools, they have not appointed principals so that these are managed by the School Management Committee (SMC). In most of these SMCs, AAP members are appointed and they get powers to spend around Rs 5 lakh,” he alleged.
