Emirates to Upgrade Tokyo-Narita Capacity with A380

(13/10/22)  Emirates has confirmed that it will upgrade capacity on the Tokyo-Narita (NRT) - Dubai (DXB) route with the deployment of its flagship A380 from 15 November.

Following the Japanese government’s announcement to ease entry restrictions, Emirates has seen a spike in bookings for flights to its gateways of Narita and Osaka.

Fight EK318 from Dubai is scheduled to depart at 02:55 and arrive at Narita at 17:20. The return flight, EK319 from Narita, is timed to depart at 22:30, arriving back in Dubai at 05:30 the following day.

In addition to Economy Class, the Emirates A380 is configured with 14 First Class suites and 76 lie-flat seats in Business Class.

Customers travelling to and from Narita can look forward to enjoying premium products such as the Onboard Lounge, First Class suites, Shower Spa and an inflight entertainment system that includes more than 5,000 channels of on-demand entertainment.

By providing more capacity, the airline aims to serve the pent-up demand for travel into Japan along with providing choice and flexibility for travellers through its daily service to Osaka EK316/317, operated with Boeing 777 aircraft.

Leisure travellers from over 60 countries can now travel to Japan visa-free and without guided tours. However, travellers are still advised to check the very latest entry requirements before booking their flight.

The airline has been gradually accelerating the deployment of its flagship A380 aircraft in line with growing demand for air travel. Currently, Emirates’ superjumbo is deployed to over 30 global destinations with more routes expected to be announced in the near future.
