Thane: Major fire at Shil Phata godown

No casualties have been reported from the spot

Thane: A fire broke out at a paper godown at Khan Compound on Shil Phata road in Mumbra at around 7:10 pm on Sunday.

No casualties have been reported from the spot

Avinash Sawant, regional disaster management cell (RDMC) chief, Thane said, "soon after receiving the complaint about the massive fire at a godown in Mumbra our team along with Mumbra police personnel reached the spot along with four fire tenders to douse the fire."

"The cause of the fire is yet to be ascertained. Also, the fire has been brought under control and fortunately, no casualties were reported from the spot," Sawant further added.
