LUCKNOW: Chief minister Yogi Adityanath launched and inaugurated projects worth Rs 450 crore in Aligarh on Saturday.
The CM said that he would like Aligarh to be recognised for its development. Speaking from the Aligarh Habitat Centre which will now be known as the Late Babu Kalyan Singh Centre, the CM stressed that while development is the priority of any government, public participation in schemes and projects is necessary.
He said that parking for 170 vehicles has been provided in the Habitat Centre and good conference rooms have been made. There will be a shopping complex here, along with an auditorium.
The CM said that smartphones and tablets were being given to the youth to enable them to be technically competent. An Abhyudaya Coaching had also been launched for students preparing for competitive examinations in the state.
“In Aligarh, we are building one node of the defence corridor which will develop into an export hub with production of defence products. An airport is being developed in Jewar. The Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh university will provide education and training,” he said.
During a review of the district, the CM directed the district administration to pay attention to issues raised by MLAs. He also instructed the police to deal firmly with any instances of loudspeakers being installed again in religious buildings and to increase foot patrolling in sensitive areas, to keep watch at intersections and to manage crowds in markets in view of the festival season.
The CM also inspected the ongoing construction work of Raja Mahendra Pratap Singh state university, announced in September 2019.
The CM and PM had laid the foundation stone for the university in September 2021. The university is being constructed on 87.27 acre at a cost of Rs 101 crore and it is expected that the work will be completed by January 2023.
