Nagpur: The Nagpur Obstetrics and Gynaecological Society (NOGS), under the presidentship of Dr Vaidehi Marathe, was awarded The Best Society Award at the state conference held in Aurangabad recently. Dr Vaidehi Marathe also received the Best Committee Chairperson Award of the association of Maharashtra Obstetrics & Gynaecological Societies. The awards were presented by state president Dr Nandita Palshetkar. The awards were bestowed on her team for conducting the best and unique activities amongst all the societies in Maharashtra.
The team took over the charge in very difficult and tough times just when the pandemic had struck. In those dark times, without losing hope, the team worked diligently and conducted innumerable never before and innovative academic, social and fellowship activities.
Dr Marathe was also the chairperson of public awareness committee between 2020-22 for which she was awarded the Best Committee Chairperson Award for the multifarious unique female health initiatives. She was especially appreciated for all the innovative digital and social initiatives.
These mammoth tasks were possible only because of the excellent work done by the NOGS team 20-22 headed by president Dr Marathe, secretary Dr Rajasi Sengupta, treasurer Dr Sangita Tajpuria and state PAC committee team.
Dr Vaidehi Marathe has thanked each and every member who contributed to the society in a big way.
