2 more Youth Congress activists booked

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Two more Youth Congress activists have been included in the accused list of the AKG Centre attack.
Suhail Shahjahan, district secretary of Youth Congress, and T Navya, who contested on a Congress ticket in the last civic elections from Attipra, have been charged with conspiracy to attack AKG Centre.
According to the police, both these Youth Congress activists are absconding. There are also reports that Shahjahan has left the country for the Gulf.
Shahjahan was the main conspirator in the case and the scooter which was used by Jithin, who allegedly threw the country bomb at AKG Centre, belongs to the driver of Shahjahan, police said.
The role of Navya was to hand over the scooter to Jithin. Navya brought the scooter to Gowreeshapattom from Attipra. After the incident, Jithin reportedly handed over the scooter back to Navya who took it back to Attipra, said police.
Jithin was nabbed by the crime branch on September 22. According to the police, Jithin was the person who threw the country bomb at AKG Centre on June 30 midnight.
