India’s Overall Exports Up 10.25% To $61.10 Bn In Sept

The ministry also said that India’s overall exports in April-September 2022 increased to USD 382.31 billion, reporting growth of 21.03 per cent over the same period last year

The Ministry of Commerce and Industry on Friday informed that India’s overall exports in September 2022 rose to USD 61.10 billion, a growth of 10.24 per cent over the same period last year. 

The ministry also said that India’s overall exports in April-September 2022 increased to USD 382.31 billion, reporting growth of 21.03 per cent over the same period last year. 

"Estimated value of services export for September 2022 is USD 25.65 billion, exhibiting a growth of 18.72 per cent vis-a-vis September 2021 (USD 21.61 billion)," the ministry said in a statement. 

Also, merchandise exports in September 2022 were USD 35.45 billion, as compared to USD 33.81 Billion in September 2021, a growth of 4.82 per cent.

Meanwhile, merchandise imports in September 2022 were USD 61.16 billion, which is an increase of 8.66 per cent over imports of USD 56.29 billion in September 2021.

"The merchandise trade deficit in September 2022 was estimated at USD 25.71 billion as against USD 22.47 billion in September 2021, which is an increase of 14.42 per cent," the statement said.
