In an apparent allusion to the queue controversy, Sir Lenny made an Morning's Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield, following claims, bypassed the line to view the Queen lying in state as he ascended the stage to accept the prize to a standing ovation from the star-studded audience.

Sir Lenny added that this performance was so lengthy that David Beckham was still in line outside, referring to the former footballer who stood in line outside for 13 hours with other public members to pay their respects to the late Queen.
