
NEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Friday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 684.64 points up at 57919.97 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, VEER Energy(down 12.64 per cent), Evans Electric(down 11.02 per cent), (down 10.41 per cent), Jainco Projects(down 10.00 per cent) and Nanavati .(down 10.00 per cent) stood among the top losers in today's trade.
In the Nifty pack, 29 stocks closed in the green, while 20 stocks ended in the red.
The index closed 171.35 points up at 17185.7.
On the BSE, , , Speciality, S M Gold and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while , , , and touched their fresh 52-week highs in today's trade.
