After Thursday's HC order, the Uddhav faction urged
BJP and the Shinde faction to let Rutuja Latke contest the bypolls unopposed.
MLC and ex-minister Anil Parab alleged that politics in Maharashtra had reached a new low but things could be reclaimed. "It is the convention in Maharashtra that if a family member of a deceased MLA is fighting the polls, that member is elected unopposed. It is not right to make a widow, who is trying to take forward the legacy and work of her late husband, ask for votes. I'm sure the CM and Dy CM will think about it," he said.
