Goa: Neighbour spots thieves, plan to steal shelved

MARGAO: Unidentified culprits attempted to break into a house at Nessai, Salcete, probably with the intention to rob, but abandoned their plans and fled after they felt they were seen by a neighbour.
Sources said that the incident happened on Wednesday evening. The culprits targeted the house as it was lying unoccupied for quite some time.
As a neighbour saw some suspicious movements inside the house, he called up the owner and alerted her. However, when the owner reached the flat, she found the window grills removed but nothing was found to be stolen.
Police were informed, however, as no case of robbery could be made out, no offence was registered.
