‘Sex racket’ busted at spa, three arrested

Kanpur: The police have busted an alleged sex racket running from a Spa Centre in posh Arya Nagar under Colonelganj police station and arrested five persons including three women hailing from Mizoram late Wednesday night. The police have also recovered Rs 51,000 in cash and other objectionable material from the spot. The owner and his associates are absconding and hunt is on to nab the two accused. Under the supervision of ACP Colonelganj Amarnath Yadav, the station in-charge Ratnesh Singh raided Spa Centre located in Arya Nagar. The police have arrested three women from Mizoram along with Rahul, resident of Amritpuram in Chakeri and Pradyumna Kumar, resident of Chiriya Kot in Mau district. The Spa Centre operator Markandeya and his partner Hitendra escaped from the spot.
Police station in-charge Ratnesh Singh said that action was being taken against the accused under the Immoral Prostitution Act.
