Ludhiana : A workshop on chemistry teaching using low-cost aids for teachers ended on Wednesday. This was a three-day workshop that was conducted by Punjab State Council for Science and Technology in collaboration with the department of chemistry, PAU. As many as 37 science teachers from various government schools of the state attended the workshop to gain knowledge about activity-based chemistry teaching in schools using low-cost teaching aids.
Chemistry is taught to students from class VI onwards. To strengthen interest, various technical sessions and hands-on activities were organised for teachers on the first day so that they can organise the same in the classes.
Lectures on chemistry ‘Today and tomorrow’ and ‘Chemistry behind miracles’ were discussed on Tuesday.
