How to watch Whitmer, Dixon in first Michigan governor debate on Oct. 13


The first debate between Michigan's major candidates for governor, Gretchen Whitmer and Tudor Dixon, will take place at 7 p.m. Thursday in Grand Rapids.
Whitmer, an incumbent Democrat, comes into the debate leading Dixon, a Republican, in a recent poll ahead of the Nov. 8 general election.
The debate will be hosted by WOOD-TV at the station's studios in Grand Rapids, an NBC affiliate, and is expected to be an hour long. Freep.com will host an embed of the debate live stream. WOOD-TV's coverage will also air on WLNS-TV in Lansing, WJMN-TV in Marquette, WJRT-TV in Flint and 9&10 News in Traverse City/Cadillac. The stream will also be available on woodtv.com.
Political reporter Rick Albin will moderate.
