Photo expo on Modi govt begins
Mysuru: A weeklong photo exhibition, seminar and workshop highlighting the achievements of Prime Minister Narendra Modi over the last eight years and his vision for 2047 began at Maharajas Pre-university College Grounds on JLB Road here on Wednesday. It will be held till October 18.
The exhibition is organized jointly by the Bureau of Communication, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting.
The expo is showcasing various achievements of the Union government through a photo exhibition and relevant data to substantiate the claims is also on display.
The exhibition is highlighting various schemes and projects implemented by the Centre such as Swachh Bharat Mission, Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan, measures initiated for promotion of digital economy, various rail, road and infrastructure projects, relief and rehabilitation measures.
All India Institute of Speech and Hearing, JSS-like institutions have also put up their stalls. Rare photos of India’s freedom movement, Sardar Vallabh Bai Patel, Mahatma Gandhi's Dandi March, Mahatma Gandhi with Dr BR Ambedkar during the signing of the Poona Pact and other photos were also displayed as part of Azadi ki Amrit Mahotsav.
District minister ST Somashekhar who inaugurated the expo after releasing a booklet brought out on the occasion, said his government organized the expo to sensitize the public about the achievements of the Union government. tnn
