NEW DELHI: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated a number of infrastructure projects in Himachal Pradesh that goes to polls next month.

BJP is looking to retain the hill state where it won 44 of the 68 seats in the 2017 assembly elections, while in the 2019 Lok Sabha elections it won all the four seats in the state.
The Election Commission, which just concluded its three-day visit to the state, is likely to announce the election schedule in the next few days.

Running from Amb Andaura to New Delhi, the country's 4th Vande Bharat Express is an advanced version compared to the earlier ones, being much lighter and capable of reaching higher speed in shorter duration.
It accelerates to 100 km per hour in just 52 seconds. The introduction of the train will help boost tourism in the region and provide a comfortable and faster mode of travel.
Bulk Drug Park
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of a Bulk Drug Park that is expected to attract investment of around Rs 10,000 crore and provide employment to more than 20,000 people from Una town.
The facility will help reduce dependence on active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs) or pharmaceutical raw material imports.
