Billionaire businessman Mukesh Ambani on Thursday offered prayers at the Badrinath and Kedarnath temples

Ambani, accompanied by his associates, arrived at the Himalayan temples in a helicopter and participated in a Puja there.

The Reliance Industries CMD also made a donation of Rs five crore for creating facilities at Badrinath and Kedarnath, Badri-Kedar Temple Committee vice president Kishore Panwar said.

Mukesh Ambani has been visiting some prominent temples across the country over the past few weeks.

On September 18, Ambani visited the famous Guruvayur temple in Kerala to offer prayers and donated Rs 1.51 crore to its 'annadanam' fund.

On September 16, he visited the Lord Venkateswara temple at Tirumala and made an offering of Rs 1.5 crore to the ancient hill shrine. He and those with him took part in an hour-long sacred ritual of Abhishekam (holy bath) conducted at the crack of dawn to Lord Venkateswara in the inner sanctum by high priests amid chanting of Vedic hymns.

On September 13, he offered his prayers at the Shrinathji temple in Rajasthan's Rajsamand district.
