CP holds meet to review work

Varanasi: The Commissioner of Police A Satish Ganesh held a meeting of the gazetted officers of the Commissionerate on Wednesday to review the works and issue the guidelines mainly on the prevention of winter crime. The strategy of speedy punishment of criminals was discussed while effectively advocating the cases of identified big criminals including mafia Abhishek alias Honey, Jhunna Pandit and other criminals. Discussions were held on the preparations for the successful completion of the upcoming Dhanteras and Deepawali festivals. In order to prevent fire incidents, instructions were given for action against the traders of illegal firecrackers. tnn
