Cabinet approves 4-year NE plan with outlay of ₹6,600 crore
NEW DELHI: The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved a new scheme - Prime Minister's Development Initiative for North East Region (PM-DevINE) - for the remaining four years (2022-23 to 2025-26) of the 15th Finance Commission with an outlay of Rs 6,600 crore.
This 100% Centre-funded scheme will be implemented by the ministry of development of northeastern region (DoNER) with a focus on creation of infrastructure, support industries, social development projects and livelihood for youth and women.
