Shutterstock.comNEW DELHI: Several stocks plunged in excess of 5 per cent in Mumbai trading on Wednesday even as equity benchmark BSE Sensex traded 146.45 points up at 57293.77 amid brisk buying in frontline bluechip counters.
On the BSE, Suratwwala Business(down 14.24 per cent), Yug Decor(down 10.00 per cent), (down 9.97 per cent), Akshar Spintex(down 9.96 per cent) and Misquita Engineering(down 9.96 per cent) were among the stocks that plunged over 5 per cent during the session.
In the Nifty pack, 40 stocks traded in the green, while 9 stocks traded in the red.
The Nifty index was trading 40.35 points up at 17023.9.
On the BSE, , , , and hit their fresh 52-week lows, while Shashwat Furnishing ., , , and Ltd. touched their fresh 52-week highs.
