Infor sets up new 3,500-seat development centre in Hyderabad
HYDERABAD: US-based ERP solutions provider Infor on Wednesday announced the expansion of its India operations with the opening of a new 3.5 lakh sq ft development centre in Hitech City with a capacity to accommodate 3,500 employees.
Infor’s India development centre, which has 3,700 employees, is among the company’s two largest locations globally and drives key tech innovations.
The company said the expansion was part of plans to leverage India’s and Hyderabad’s diverse and skilled talent pool to drive digital innovation through expanded teams spanning various functions, including engineering, operations, and R&D.
The latest investment will help Infor use digital technologies such as cloud, mobility, data analytics, artificial intelligence, and IoT to deliver new industry-specific solutions, a release issued by Telangana IT & industries minister KT Rama Rao’s office on Wednesday said.
KTR, who met top Infor officials on Wednesday, said Hyderabad was fast emerging as a preferred IT hub thanks to its thriving environment that includes good availability of local talent pool.
“We are thrilled that several leading technology companies like Infor are deepening their investments in our people and economy. Infor’s expansion is an ideal example of fostering a collaborative approach to strengthen businesses and cement Hyderabad’s position on the global stage.”
Terming India as a strategic hub for skilled talent and global technology development, Infor CEO Kevin Samuelson said the new center in Hyderabad would strengthen teh company’s global efforts toward cloud innovation, engineering, and research.
