PSI attached to CISF in New Mangalore Port attempts to end life

MANGALURU: A PSI attached to CISF in New Mangalore Port has attempted to end her life by shooting herself at the NMPT Main gate on Wednesday. The incident occurred between 6am and 6.15am.
City police commissioner N Shashi Kumar said that the injured Jyothi Bai (33) is wife of Ombeer Singh Parmar.
She is a 2010 batch officer and the reason for the extreme step is learnt to be a family dispute.
Her husband Ombeer Singh Parmar is working as an assistant commandant in MRPL. Both hail from Bharatpur district in Rajasthan.
The injured has been shifted to a private hospital in Mangaluru for treatment. In a note, she has said that she was ending her life on her own.
