Thiruvananthapuram: Police on Tuesday arrested two people for hacking a 38-year-old man using a machete at Pachimukku in Kadinamkulam.
Sabu alias Rajeev, son of Silva Picha of Thonikadavu, Kadinamkulam, was allegedly hacked by Shiju, son of Prabhakaran, of Puthuval Veedu at Puthuval near Kadinamkulam and Sajeev, son of Raghavan of Puthuval Veedu.
Police said Sabu and the accused were part of two goonda gangs and the attack was a pre-planned one.
The accused were unhappy with Sabu over attacking one of their friends a couple of weeks ago.
Sabu was stopped at night while he was coming in a two-wheeler and hacked on his chest, hands and legs. Sabu is admitted to Thiruvananthapuram Medical College Hospital.
The accused have been remanded in custody after producing before a court.
