Mangaluru: Three persons booked for damaging flex

MANGALURU: The city police have taken into custody three persons for allegedly damaging a flex put up by Vamanjoor Friends near Vamanjoor Junction on the occasion of Sharadotsava celebrations.
The accused picked up on Tuesday are Sumith Hegde, Yathish Poojary and Praveen Poojary. Police said the incident was reported on Saturday midnight and the act was allegedly done to hurt religious sentiments.
The police have also seized a car used for the act. A case has been registered at the Mangaluru Rural police station in this regard.
