Get registered or shut down, Uttarakhand tells madrassas

DEHRADUN: The Uttarakhand government has given a "final warning" to madrassas in the state to register themselves with the education department or be ready to face closure, reports Kautilya Singh.
Social welfare and minority welfare minister Chandan Ram Das said. "Now, we have given a final ultimatum. If they don't comply, w''ll get the waqf board land measured and those unregistered would be forcibly shut down," said the minister.
