Kota:
BJP state president Satish Poonia on Monday lashed out at the state’s ruling Congress, alleging that farmers were yet to be compensated for crop damage and that the government was lying on girdawari of damaged crop. He assured that the state BJP would fight for compensation to the farmers.
On the fourth day of his tour to Hadauti region, Poonia led a road show in Baran and addressed workers of seven fronts of the party on Monday. He claimed BJP would come in power in the state in 2023.
Poonia visited the agricultural land of a farmer in a village in Bundi district and took stock of the crop damage earlier in the day. He asked the farmer on the survey and compensation. On learning that there was no girdawari for the crop damage there so far, he accused Chief Minister
Ashok Gehlot of telling a lie on the completion of girdawari.
“Officials should have reached this farmer for the survey and compensation for the damaged crop, but none has come here so far,” said Poonia in Baran, adding that BJP would soon start a demonstration in the district headquarters of Baran, Kota and Bundi demanding compensation to the farmers
Poonia had lunch in the house of Hanuman Bairwa, a BJP worker at Barkheda village in Anta area of Baran district.
