Rajkot: Man fired at for affair with woman

RAJKOT: A man was arrested on Monday by Gir-Somnath police from Haryana for firing at a man who allegedly had an affair with his mother. Accused Sukhdev Odedara (27) arrested from Faridabad.
According to police, Naga Bambhaniya, a resident of Ambaliyala village, was fired at when he was going to his house from Tatlivela on October 7. Bambhaniya was injured and admitted to a hospital. An FIR was registered at Prabhas Patan police station.
Based on technical surveillance, the police got the information that the accused was hiding in Faridabad and a team was sent there.
“During interrogation, the accused told the police that Bambhaniya was in contact with his mother and it led to frequent quarrels in the family. He wanted to get rid of this and so brought a country-made weapon and made a plan to eliminate Bambhaniya,” said a senior police officer.
