Jaipur: A day after arresting a 31-year-old man posted as a Class IV employee at the Sena Bhawanin New Delhi allegedly for spying and leaking confidential information to Pakistani handlers, intelligence wing on Sunday stated that they have got incriminating evidence against him to tell the prosecution that he was getting a good monetary benefit out of this.
Officials stated that a man from Patna in Bihar was regularly sending him money, thus, the role of this man is also found to be suspicious in this case.
The accused identified as Ravi Prakash Meena, a native of Sapotara area in Karauli and working at the Sena Bhawan since 2015, was arrested by the intelligence wing on Saturday.
“It was found that he was regularly getting money from a man in Patna (Bihar). We can’t disclose the name of this man but will surely interrogate him to know how he became a bridge between this man and the Pakistani woman handler,” said S Sengathir, additional director general (ADG), securit.
He added that the teams are working on other factors related to the case. “We will also interrogate him to know what kind of information he had passed to the Pakistani handlers,” Sengathir added. A case under Official Secrets (OS) Act was also lodged against the accused and he is presently undergoing joint interrogation. tnn
