VARANASI: Banaras Hindu University vice-chancellor Sudhir K Jain was spotted enjoying the famous tea of Pappu’s tea stall in Assi area on Sunday morning.
Jain not only enjoyed Pappu’s tea but also uploaded his photo and comment on his Facebook account mentioning, “Got the opportunity to enjoy tea at 80-year-old famous Pappu tea stall. The site is historical and tea was also special. Special style and standard of tea is still maintained at this tea stall started by an ex-serviceman.”
Already famous for decades the Pappu tea stall had come to limelight globally when before ending his road show on March 4 Prime Minister
Narendra Modi also entered this shop and enjoyed ‘Kulhad tea’ here.
The attraction of Jain for Kashi’s street food had also come to light in past when he was spotted enjoying ‘kachori-jalebi’ of Lanka area’s famous ‘Chahi ki dukan’.
