One held for water meter thefts in Vasco

Vasco: Vasco police have arrested Sidhu Raju Pawar alias Salunke, 21, a resident of housing board colony, New Vaddem, for theft of water meters in different parts of Vasco and Dabolim.
Vasco PI Kapil Nayak said that they had received several complaints of water meter thefts mainly from New Vaddem localities.
Acting on the complaints, police checked the CCTV footages available and Salunke was taken into their custody. They have also recovered six water meters from the possession of the accused. Police are investigating to find if more persons are involved in the crime.
An offence under provisions of the Indian Penal Code (IPC) and Prevention of Damage to Public Property Act, 1984, has been registered.
Further investigation is being conducted by PSI Rohan Nageshkar.
