Cop suspended for his remark against ex-CM
Vijayapura: A head constable from Vijayapura Rural police station was suspended on Saturday for his comment against former CM and opposition leader Siddaramaiah.
In response to a recent video in which Siddaramaiah had allegedly urged police to remain neutral and not act like BJP agents, head constable Rajashekhar Khanapur had challenged the former CM, in the singular, to go “home without escorts” in a post on Facebook. His comment had gone viral on social media and many users had taken Khanapur to task for taking on the Congress leader for suggesting him to be neutral as a government employee.

Karnataka Pradesh Kurubara Sangh president B Subramanya had requested Vijayapura superintendent of police HD Anand Kumar, over phone, to take action against the head constable. As Anand Kumar had told them to submit a written complaint, they had done so on Friday. The district police chief suspended the constable on Saturday.
