Palghar teen on run after killing brother with sickle

MUMBAI: A teenager is on the run after killing his 21-year-old brother in Jawhar taluka of Palghar district on Friday.
Nivruti Vaze (19) intercepted his brother Pankaj, who was on a motorbike and headed to work at Vasai, pulled out a sickle and assaulted him on the neck. Even as Pankaj collapsed on the road, Nivruti fled to a nearby jungle. Pankaj was rushed to a hospital by the locals but was declared dead before admission.
According to Jawhar police, though the reason behind the brutal murder is still to be ascertained, locals in Chamilpada village, where the siblings resided with their parents, had informed them that the brothers often fought over trivial matters.
