Kerala: Search on for duo wanted in assault case

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Kanjiramkulam police have registered a case against two men on Saturday for assaulting a minor boy and his relative, a girl, at Kollamkonam in Kottukal.
The boy and his relative were waiting for his sister after tuition near their house at 7pm on Friday. The accused, Dineesh (28) and Unni alias Prasanna Kumar (29), while passing their way in a two-wheeler, questioned them.
One among the accused held the hand of the girl and pulled her closer to him. The boy fell into a nearby stream after being allegedly beaten by them when he tried to rescue the girl.
Hearing the noise, people living in the vicinity reached there. The duo then escaped in the two-wheeler. The parents of the children later registered a case at Kanjiramkulam police station. The accused were reportedly under the influence of alcohol. Police said the case would be transferred to Vizhinjam station as the incident took place in its limit.
